Diane Johansen

Eli was the driving force at UC Scout to create something from nothing. He was responsible for creating, hiring, and building a team that would then receive high accolades from the State of California for online courses. Here is the mission and what Eli helped to achieve for UC Scout: "UC Scout’s mission is to reach out to educationally disadvantaged students across the state, raising achievement levels and closing achievement gaps. Every SAPEP program works to achieve this goal in different ways, and Scout’s focus is on offering high school and middle school classes online." Without Eli's expertise, this would not have happened. He helped pull it all together and made the courses creative, engaging, and worth watching.

Krist Jake

Eli was a pleasure to work with. Plus, I'm very fond of his film "Selling Songs of Leyte". He conceptualized the film project, shot hours of footage in the Philippines, and served as editor and producer. The whole enchilada! As I posted on YouTube regarding the film: "An outstanding creation and historical record capture on film a tradition that was dying and may have been wiped out by Typhoon Haiyan. Let us hope it wasn't!"

Denzel Russell

Whenever I hear the words passion, authentic, and inspirational I immediately think of Eli Africa. These words describe Eli because he truly embodies what it means to have a fiery passion in any and everything he does, stay authentic and true to who he is and have the natural ability to inspire others. I had the privilege of directly working with Eli who was our Multimedia Producer and Educator at the Children’s Creativity Museum. He played a vital role in producing excellent and heartfelt media for our Teen Program, several Education Programs, and numerous workshops. Eli was an excellent and influential mentor to all the staff within the museum and encouraged everyone to always tap into their creative spirit. Eli Africa is truly a talented and artistic individual who possesses a wealth of knowledge on art and technology and has the key media and artistic skills to take any project or idea to new heights!
